Big news! We’re releasing our first-ever video game today—plus a pair of limited-edition glasses.
Let’s start with the video game. We teamed up with Kill Screen—a literary-minded video game arts and culture company—to create Worbs, a physics-based matching game that is VERY easy to play for extended periods of time. (Don’t say we didn’t warn you.)
Next up is the limited-edition Burke frame in Glacier Grey (a best-selling style reimagined in a new hue). Each pair is crafted from premium cellulose acetate and equipped with lenses that have anti-scratch and anti-reflective coatings—which conveniently reduce the glare from screens. (Score!) Inside the frame’s temple is an embossed Kill Screen logo in their signature red. Also included is a custom lens pouch with artwork featuring the Kill Screen logo cleverly deconstructed into minimalist lines and shapes.
The whole bundle is available to shop (and play!) here.
P.S. Want to have the chance to win a free pair of our new glasses? All you need to do is screen grab your highest score from our video game, Worbs, and tweet it to us using #warbyxkillscreen and #contest. Individuals with the top 10 scores will receive a limited-edition pair of Burke frames! (More details, plus terms and conditions here.)
The Warby Parker Readery has returned—and it’s found a new home at Brookfield Place in Battery Park City.
We originally opened the Readery in the summer of 2012. Designed as a reimagined 1960s newsstand, it came stocked with classic reads (both vintage and new), postcards, and a curated collection of eyewear. It was our take on a traveling pop-up shop. Since then, it’s enjoyed extended stays at The Standard Hotels in Los Angeles, New York City, and Miami Beach.
To celebrate its new home, we’ve stocked the shelves with an exclusive collection of postcards, Reading Maps, limited-edition books, and one-of-a-kind offerings by artist Jason Polan. Also, just at the Readery, you’ll find select works of fiction (think: Speedboat, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, The Love Affairs of Nathaniel P.), each accented with hand-drawn illustrations by Jason throughout the pages.
And one last surprise: Remember those head-in-a-hole photo boards? Jason was kind enough to create a special one for Brookfield Place. (It’s worth the visit.)
Come see us if you’re in the neighborhood!

If you visit our headquarters or any of our stores, you’ll notice employees are observing a new holiday: Wear Your Sunglasses at Work Day!
Our store advisors are selling sunglasses while wearing sunglasses; our co-founders are talking about sunglasses while wearing sunglasses; our Social Media team is responding to tweets while wearing sunglasses. It’s sunglasses fever.
Below, some photographic documentation of the madness.
Sure, Monday is the official first day of summer (woohoo!), but it’s also a brand-new holiday that we invented from whole cloth: Wear Your Sunglasses at Work Day!
What does that mean? Everyone at Warby Parker—both at headquarters and in retail stores—will be wearing sunglasses at work all day.
You can join the fun too. Here’s how to participate:
1) Politely ask your boss/manager/captain/head honcho if you can celebrate “Wear Your Sunglasses at Work Day.”
2) Wear your favorite pair of Warby Parker sunglasses to work on Monday.
3) Keep them on your face throughout the day—we’re talking during meetings, bathroom trips, lunch hangs, work sessions, naps—ALL of it.
4) Take a picture of yourself wearing the sunglasses and use the hashtag #seesummerbetter
