Style Stories: Janelle Flores
We work with some pretty sharp dressers, and it’s always a treat to see what they will wear each day. We’re highlighting a few of the stories behind their looks.

Bike shorts, American Apparel: “I don’t bike, but when I first moved here from California, I wasn’t used to walking up and down the stairs all the time, and I was afraid of people looking up my skirt on the subway. I have three of the same pair, and I have some thermal bike shorts for the winter too.”
Socks, Opening Ceremony: “When I feel sad, I buy socks. I used to buy chocolate but that didn’t turn out so well.”
Boots, Jeffrey Campbell: “They remind me of Balenciaga, and they come in size 5. Balenciaga shoes don’t come in a size 5.”
Lipstick, Tarte LipSurgence matte tint in Lively: “It’s like my socks; it cheers me up instantly.”
Rings, Gorjana and Sorelle: “I’m wearing seven total on both hands.”
