Cobble Hill, we just opened our doors on Bergen Street! Here’s a taste of what’s literally in store:

We’ve always been inspired by lives that are creatively charged and brimming with imaginative pursuits. In that spirit, our very first Brooklyn store is overflowing with an array of custom pieces from a group of artists who fuel our curiosity and light up our synapses. The space is an ode to books without words: graphic novels, illustrated stories, sketchbooks, and the like. (A specialty selection of those books is available for purchase.) We’ve also got a cluster of bookish notecards from New York City’s own Joana Avillez and free reading maps from a favorite collaborator, Jason Polan. Fun bonus: if you purchase sunglasses for takeaway, you’ll receive a lens cloth printed with this very map.

Step inside and take a look at a mural from comic book artist Jim Rugg (inside our #warbywashroom below), framed sketches from cartoonist and illustrator Adrian Tomine, original pieces by artist Shantell Martin, and behind our Reference Desk, a mural by Pete Gamlen (that’s it, right above!). Each piece of artwork in the store can be yours (in the form of a free postcard!) found on display toward the back of our space.
