You’re a winner. And you’re a winner.

To celebrate our 7th birthday, we put together a one-day-only game of chance in which participants (like you) could enter (for free) in order to win glasses for life (no joke). In the spirit of instant win games, not EVERY player can win the big prize. That’s what makes it exciting!

Some things are better in good old-fashioned analog form than digital form. Like wall clocks. Or kitchen timers that are shaped like eggs. (*Ding*)

Prizes can go either way.

In the spirit of Warby Parker, however, everyone is definitely a winner. We put together this digital prize pack for everyone to enjoy—it’s a lil’ grab bag of puzzles and playlists to put a smile on your face.

Go on and enter, and of course, enjoy!

A Metal Moment

All that glitters is not gold—sometimes it’s other kinds of metal. And sometimes it doesn’t so much “glitter” as “subtly gleam,” which is a much more elegant mode of shining when it comes to eyewear.

February is our metal moment: We’ve got metal eyeglasses and sunglasses alike, with a shape for everyone: a 1970s-inspired aviator shape, a “1950s English professor getting down at a staff party” silhouette, and the very cool, all-new Bennett with a head-turning double brow bar.

To Read: How Do I Love Thee?

Love takes so many aspects, some of which we wouldn’t recommend trying in public. We all love differently, so pick out a book to show you the art of loving—yours, or another practitioner’s style.

It’s our 7th birthday!

In honor of our 7th birthday, we’re giving away a free scratch-off game called GLASSES FOR LIFE this Friday. It’s exactly what it sounds like: anyone who plays the game gets the chance to win glasses (or sunglasses) for the rest of their life. Why? Because scratch-off games are fun, and we love fun.

Scratch-off games are available on request for one day only, this Friday, February 17 Request a scratch-off game at one of our stores, or enter your details online (also on Friday) and we’ll mail you one. One per customer—gotta keep it fair! (Here are all the rules and regulations.)

Why are we doing this? A few reasons:

-Because seven is a lucky number.

-Because we want to share the fun with y’all.

-Because we only turn seven once.

-Because office parties are cool (pizza, etc.) but nationwide games of chance are downright THRILLING.

Insane? Yes. Fun? Also yes. Play on! (Just, maybe set a reminder first. Don’t forget!) Follow us on Instagram for updates.

The gazers behind #girlgaze

We commissioned a few up-and-coming photographers in the #girlgaze community to share their beautiful creative interpretations of the Amanda de Cadenet collaboration frames. The photos (some of which we’ve been sharing over on Instagram) are ~insanely~ gorgeous and we couldn’t resist sharing even more. So, here.

We’re back, Philly!

Philadelphia is home for us—it’s where the idea for Warby Parker was born, where we sold our first pair, and where we had our first showroom (in one of our co-founders’ dining rooms—it was a squeeze!). All that to say: We were over the moon when we opened our first permanent store in the city last weekend. (The thrill has not faded.)

The floor-to-ceiling windows on the façade of the store feature an applied mosaic pattern in all our favorite shades of our very favorite color, blue. And above the marble Reference Desk inside, you’ll find a vibrant original mural by Philly-based artist Andy Rementer (he’s a University of the Arts grad!).

To celebrate this homecoming of sorts, we’re going all out with in-store exclusives. In tribute to now-closed Roosevelt Pub (where the idea for Warby Parker came together), we’re releasing the Roosevelt Collection—featuring, appropriately, Roosevelt, one of the first frames we ever designed, in three dashing new colors. It’s in Sandalwood Matte, Mallard Green, and Earl Grey, and is available in limited quantities only at Walnut St. (i.e., they’re not online so come on in!).

We’re also packing a bunch of non-eyewear treats—like lens cloths featuring Andy Rementer’s electric in-store artwork (included with any eyewear purchase); playful postcards with original artwork by the Philly-based Molly Egan; and custom totes (free with purchase for any student who shows a current student ID!)—only available for a limited time.

Our doors are open! We hope you’ll stop by soon.

Introducing Amanda de Cadenet x Warby Parker

We’re delighted to share our newest frames in conjunction with creative multi-hyphenate, Amanda de Cadenet.

We’re delighted to share our newest frames in conjunction with creative multi-hyphenate, Amanda de Cadenet. A fashion and portrait photographer, she writes, directs, creates and hosts TV and online shows, and, oh, she runs her own production company too. (She’s busy to say the least.) Her career has many arms, but at the core of her work, Amanda abides by inclusivity and candor. She is zero pretense and all heart, and we couldn’t be more pleased to team up on two new frames in support of her latest venture, #girlgaze. (More in just a sec.)

We’ve collaborated with Amanda to create Silvan and Ella, a single frame in optical and sunwear versions (both crafted in cellulose acetate) named after Amanda’s twins. Ella is an optical frame in Jet Black with bold, gold accents on the frame’s temple. Silvan comes in Peony—a nod to #girlgaze’s signature pink—in eyeglasses and with a silver reflective lens in sunglasses.

Amanda’s #girlgaze organization is dedicated to providing young female-identifying photographers with the tools and support they need to hone their craft. Backed by a who’s-who of female creatives, #girlgaze is a multimedia digital community showcasing the ways in which girls see the world. Their celebration of women in front of and behind the lens is a mission we can definitely get behind. To toast our partnership with Amanda, we are making a donation to the Girlgaze Foundation, which distributes financial grants for emerging female-identifying photographers and directors. The Foundation aims to put more girls behind the camera and close the gender gap.
