Little Free Library x Warby Parker
Occasionally we go for the Modified Beyoncé or Inchworm, but our favorite way to read is relatively straight-forward:
1. Pick up a book.
2. Open the book.
3. Read the book.
4. Pass it on.
In this spirit, we teamed up with PEN World Voices Festival, Architectural League of New York, and Little Free Library, Ltd. to craft a station for reading, designed by Matter Practice.
Introducing the Little Free Library x Warby Parker, a mobile collection of books set outside each stop along our Class Trip itinerary.
Our first batch of books has been selected by British writer Salman Rushdie, and each one is marked with a signature stamp.
If you can’t make it to the bus, take Rushdie’s book list with you to your local library:
Leaves of Grass, Walt Whitman
The Sound and the Fury, William Faulkner
The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Collected Stories, Eudora Welty
The Complete Stories, Bernard Malamud
Humboldt’s Gift, Saul Bellow
Portnoy’s Complaint, Philip Roth
Everything That Rises Must Converge, Flannery O’Connor
Slaughterhouse-Five, Kurt Vonnegut
V., Thomas Pynchon
Catch-22, Joseph Heller
Beloved, Toni Morrison
The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, Michael Chabon
