The fellows from Wine Awesomeness recently stopped by our headquarters to share some of their favorite reds and whites. Popping bottles: not a bad way to wrap up the work day.

Here’s a summary of what we learned.

1. The correct term for wine expert is not wino. It is sommelier.

2. You don’t need to worry about learning the “right” adjectives to describe wine. The best way to get a good recommendation is to snap a photo of a bottle you’ve enjoyed and show it to a wine pro next time you’re at a restaurant or liquor store. They’ll have primo suggestions.

3. Every food has an optimal pairing. Even office snacks! We asked the pros to recommend pairings for our most commonly-eaten items:
